How to Install Icloud on Mac Os X 10.5 8
As usual, the whole ecosystem not only limits choice, but takes away some of the old choices until the machine you were perfectly happy with is worthless, unsupported junk. I assume there's still no good 3rd party option for safari bookmark syncing between It's going to suck going back to periodically doing a manual merge.

Ditto on passwords, but maybe 1Password can help with that. I've got a laptop that won't ever go beyond SL and I'm not terribly keen on getting rid of it. Yes, I've tried Apparently I'm not the only one since Apple is getting so desperate it is handing out free copies of the Lion. But even if it's free, no thanks.

I can understand people being upset with their machine not being supported anymore, but apart from that Windows backwards-compatibility can be viewed as both a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing for those with older hardware I can't imagine that Windows 7 on hardware that has a 2GB RAM ceiling is a particularly pleasant affair , however some believe that it's a potential security compromise, and a hindrance to those who want Microsoft to go 'full steam ahead' by embracing new technologies and abandoning old ones.
